The installation of your door
The installation of the door is the moment your steel-look door truly comes to life. Because Emezzi’s doors are made from lightweight aluminium rather than heavy steel, fitting them is quicker, cleaner and less invasive.
Whether you leave the installation to one of our dealers or take it on yourself, the result is the same: a flawless, made-to-measure door. We take care of the installation, while you stay in control of every choice.

The installation by one of our dealers
Most of our customers choose to have their door fitted by one of our dealers. They handle both the delivery and the expert installation, working exactly to your specifications.
It usually starts with a measurement visit, so your door is manufactured down to the millimetre and fits perfectly on the day. Our installers know our doors inside out, which keeps the work precise and the disruption to your home to a minimum.
Prefer to install the door yourself?
Would you rather fit the door yourself? That is entirely possible. In that case, we provide a clear, step-by-step installation manual that explains each stage. Do you already have a frame in place? A hinged door can be set into this existing frame, as long as it is a square wooden frame with a depth of roughly 49 millimetres.
Because the profiles are slim and light, adjusting the door is far easier than with a heavy steel alternative.
How each door type is mounted
The mounting method depends on the type of door you choose.
A pivot door needs no frame. It is fixed to the floor and the ceiling and turns on a pivot point, which gives it that striking, free-floating look. We only drill about 1 centimetre into the finished floor, and the door can be fitted with a soft-close or automatic return mechanism for a smooth, quiet movement.
A hinged door comes with our own slim aluminium frame. The swing direction and hinge side can be adjusted to suit the room or your wishes, or the door can be fitted into an existing frame.
A sliding door runs along an aluminium rail mounted to the wall or ceiling. Here, we drill around 4 centimetres into the ceiling, so it needs to be solid; concrete or wood is normally strong enough. Because there is no drilling into the floor, a sliding door is ideal in rooms with underfloor heating. The side panels simply rest against the walls and are not fixed to the walls.
A clean and lasting result
Aluminium has clear advantages compared to steel, both during and after installation. It is light, so the doors are easy to handle and operate, and there are no visible welding seams, which keeps the finish beautifully smooth. Once fitted, your door asks very little of you: the aluminium and stainless-steel parts do not rust, so a quick clean is all it takes to keep it looking its best.
